Housing
The educational experience at Central College is intentionally designed as an active community in which everything belongs to learning. The classroom, lab and studio offer important educational opportunities, but are amplified through lively involvement in student organizations, athletics, artistic performances, as well as regularly shared dining and residential interactions. Taken together, these shape the fullness of the learning experience.
All full-time students are expected to live in college-owned housing unless married, of nontraditional age (23 years or older), a veteran, have a dependent child(ren) or enrolled part-time. Please be aware that financial aid will be adjusted for off-campus students.
Students seeking to live in off-campus settings may apply for a housing exemption. All requests will be followed up with a personal discussion with our student development professionals to understand each student’s unique situation and ways to ensure active engagement in the life of our campus community. At the start of the semester following a change in residency request, students may be asked to provide documentation of a viable local housing option (i.e. lease agreement).
